Following her doctoral psychology training, Dr Hormoz pursued substantial additional training and qualifications within other specialist therapies. Not only does this benefit her clients with a range of treatment options but this enables her to think objectively about which therapy might be the best for each individual based on their needs and what they want to get from therapy. Her extensive training allows her to integrate multiple therapeutic approaches, tailoring each treatment plan to the individual’s unique needs.

Dr Hormoz has a special interest in working with complex trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, and anxiety-related challenges. She is highly skilled in working with many problem areas, including depression, anxiety disorders (GAD, Panic, phobias, OCD, health anxiety and social anxiety), addictions, self-harm, suicidal ideation, family pressures, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, racial and sexual abuse and much more.

As part of her roles within the NHS, Dr Hormoz has managed psychology teams and provides clinical supervision to senior psychologists and therapists. She has also been a Professional Panel Member for the HCPC. The HCPC regulates the Psychology profession, responsible for reviewing allegations of misconduct against psychologists (and evidence presented), fitness to practice, and ensuring high standards of practice and patient safety within the profession.
